Words can't express my gratitude for this place, but I will give it a shot. Forgive me in advance as this may be long, but its for your kids after all. From the youngest age, we took my daughter to different things to get her energy out and try new things. Without fail, whether circle time at a pre-school or any time the kids were required to settle for a second - you would find a little blur in the background running away with their dad chasing after them telling them to get back to the circle. Needless to say, it didn't seem like she would do well, let alone thrive at a place with older kid routines. Enter finding 10 Acre Woods. They wanted to have the kids play outside as much as humanly possible through their woods, marshes, playground, etc. The idea is as they did organic play, the teachers would come around to introduce concepts to them for personal growth through play. But how well does it work? Well I had my daughter in for 2 years and found her outside no matter what kind of weather I could imagine. They bundled them (or sun screened) them accordingly and sent them on their way. I would come to them playing with chickens, sledding, learning about planting etc. and my daughter just LOVED it. She made friends and built so much confidence, just as was promised. Generally, there were 2 teachers and around 10 kids on any given day. The teachers are all exactly what I want my kid around. They are incredibly kind, patient and generally seem to love all the kids. ALL THE TEACHERS. Any one of them recognizes your kid and their personality and can tell you cute stories and what they are learning and how THEY are doing. My son had to go to a different daycare until he was old enough so I got to compare. They rarely went outside. I had come a few times to the teachers being spread too thin and the emotions being spread to the children. My son would cry every dropoff and rush to get out every day. From the day we got him in this place, I thought the change would be hard on him but he didn't even say bye to me the first day. It has literally changed him because he loves it so much. He knows all his teachers names and has a little best friend there (thanks Sawyer). Anyway, this place is special and I can't recommend it enough. I trust them and actually feel good dropping off my kids here.
