Enrollment and Tuition
Weekly Tuition for 2026/2027:
$325 Five days a week
$215 Three days a week (M/W/F)
$164 Two days a week (T/Th)
We offer year-round enrollment from September through the following August, with school-year contracts (September through May) also available. This flexibility helps families plan for consistent, reliable childcare.
Tuition includes lunch and two snacks daily. We focus on healthy, balanced meals—choosing organic ingredients when possible, preferring fresh or frozen produce over canned, and avoiding added sugars—so parents can feel confident their child is eating well while at school.
Our student-to-teacher ratio is 6:1, well below Minnesota’s preschool standard of 10:1, with a maximum of 12 students per day. This ensures individualized attention, supports social and emotional growth, and allows children to thrive at their own pace.
Our teachers are highly qualified, holding degrees in Elementary or Environmental Education, and bring years of experience and passion for play-based learning. Their expertise allows them to recognize each child’s unique developmental needs and guide learning in a way that’s engaging and effective.
At 10 Acre Wood, we prioritize children over profit. Every decision—from class size to the learning experiences we offer—is guided by what best supports healthy development rather than societal pressures or early academic expectations. Our focus is on nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning, giving families peace of mind that their child’s growth is our top priority.
Enrollment Requirements
Children must be 33 months old and toilet trained by their first day of attendance. We are happy to help children transition to pull-ups for nap time and support them through occasional accidents. Children may remain enrolled until their first day of kindergarten.
Childhood vaccines according to the Minnesota Department of Health immunization schedule are required, with exceptions only for medical exemptions by a physician.
A two-week tuition deposit is required at enrollment to hold your child’s spot, providing families peace of mind that their place is secure.
Because we are a nature-based school, children need certain outdoor gear. Families can expect to spend $200–$300 initially, with replacements as needed. Second-hand items are often a great option, and we offer retailer discounts to help make this more affordable. Having proper gear ensures children can fully participate in outdoor learning every day, no matter the weather.

At 10 Acre Wood, new families typically enroll once per year, with the enrollment process beginning each January for spots starting the following September. Mid-year openings are rare.
