Teacher emily

Hi, I’m Emily, and I have been a teacher at 10 Acre Wood since it opened in 2019.

I have a degree in Elementary Education from Gustavus Adolphus College. After helping to run a reading program through AmeriCorps after college, I found a passion for working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I have been working in the early childhood field for nearly 20 years, including 10 years at a beautiful childcare center in Massachusetts.

I live in Farmington with my husband, James, and our three children: Arie, Evelyn, and Lia. You will see Lia bopping around 10 Acre, too! We are heavy into the “busy with kids stuff” phase of life, but when I can carve out time, I love to do yoga, garden, read, and go for walks or bike rides.

I am so happy to be a part of the 10 Acre Wood community, both as an educator and as a parent. It is an incredibly special place where childhood is preserved and honored by allowing children to explore, be in nature, and learn in their own unique way. I am so excited to get to know you and your child.
